2021 Verdad Grenache Rosé, Reeves Vineyard
We have been working with Reeves Vineyard in Edna Valley since 2020. Although the vineyard is SIPS Certified Sustainable, we started farming it organically in 2020. We hope to certify the vineyard organic in a couple of years.
After a long, cool growing season we harvested this Grenache in early October. The grapes were in perfect condition. I whole cluster pressed the grapes and barrel fermented the wine in neutral barrels.
The wine was bottled in mid February. The resulting wine has gorgeous wild strawberry aromas with flavors of berries and perfectly ripe watermelon. The finish is fresh with hints of citrus and herbs de Provence. This is a perfect wine for summer sipping.
Organically farmed.
This fragrant Rosé has a pretty pale rosy-pink color. The aromas exhibit crushed berries and lemon blossoms. Flavors of strawberries and watermelon are layered with pretty herbal notes, a supple mouth-feel and a lively, bright finish.
