2021 Albarino, Martian Ranch Vineyard
The grapes for this wine were the first grapes to be harvested in 2022. They were picked on September 10th. I picked this Albariño early with moderate sugar, balanced acid, and PH. This was my first time working with Martian Ranch Vineyard fruit and I really love this biodynamic vineyard.
The grapes were whole cluster pressed and fermented naturally on their own skins in neutral barrels.
The resulting wine has aromas of fragrant white flowers with succulent white peach flavors, hints of almonds, herbs, and lemon zest. The wine is supple on the palate. It’s a very pretty wine.
