When young it exhibits aromas of wet stone, under ripe peaches with a hint of honey.  As it ages, it takes on more of a honey nut character, with mineral and lanolin undertones.

The crop was small in 2020, and we only had enough grapes for two barrels of this exotic Chardonnay. It was bottled without filtration in April 2022.

Unlike the 2019 from Christy & Wise, which is one of the favorite Chardonnays I’ve ever made, this 2020 is much more lifted and forward. It has the balance for age worthiness, but I’m going to drink it while waiting for the 2019 to reach its peak! Cheers! Bob Lindquist August 2022

This is a cool climate Grenache driven wine, with aromatic red fruits and a nice wild cherry aspect. The Syrah and Mourvédre add color, body, complexity and an “anti-oxidant” component to the oxidative Grenache. This wine very much speaks of the warm 2022 vintage, with a little softer acidity than the 2021, and with a little more forward fruit.  It has classic Bien Nacido aromas of apples, tropical fruits and hints of citrus, all wrapped up with some creamy new oak aspects.
