This exotic vintage has opulence and structure.

This is a complex and special wine…taking advantage of the best characteristics of both varietals.  Earthy, dark berry fruit and tannin from the Tempranillo is complimented by the spicy, and juicy richness of the Syrah.  This wine is built to age well, but is totally enjoyable now.  If you do decide to put some in the cellar, we’d recommend a good 8-12 years to be at its best!

The wine is full bodied and rich with a velvety texture and good balance.  It exhibits classic cassis aromas with deep ripe plums and blackberry flavors layered with warm spices, savory notes and hints of cigar box and sage. 

This Tempranillo has a silky texture with tart cherry aromas and flavors of cherries, plums and ripe raspberries berries layered with cocoa, mint and licorice. It has a long finish framed by spicy, toasty oak.

The wine is medium-full bodied with pure dark black and tart cherry fruit, cocoa, spice and hints of toasted spices and hints of herbs de Provence. This is gorgeous example of cool coastal Tempranillo.

The 2020 is textbook Z Block -  spicey, black pepper, with dark berry character. In spite of the riper character, the wine has great balance, so should age nicely for at least 10-15 years!

This is a cool climate Grenache driven wine, with aromatic red fruits and a nice wild cherry aspect. The Syrah and Mourvédre add color, body, complexity and an “anti-oxidant” component to the oxidative Grenache. I made this wine in a light, fresh style, meant to be served chilled, just like a white or Rosé. This is the ideal Summertime red. 

This is a deep, rich wine with balanced acidity and medium tannins.  The aromas show earthiness and red fruits from the Tempranillo, with spice and black fruits from the Syrah.
