When young it exhibits aromas of wet stone, under ripe peaches with a hint of honey.  As it ages, it takes on more of a honey nut character, with mineral and lanolin undertones.

The crop was small in 2020, and we only had enough grapes for two barrels of this exotic Chardonnay. It was bottled without filtration in April 2022.

Unlike the 2019 from Christy & Wise, which is one of the favorite Chardonnays I’ve ever made, this 2020 is much more lifted and forward. It has the balance for age worthiness, but I’m going to drink it while waiting for the 2019 to reach its peak! Cheers! Bob Lindquist August 2022

This is a wine to drink fresh over the next year or two…or wait un til it is at least 10 years old.  With age it gains complexity and a distinct honey nut character.  With proper storage, this is a wine you could put down for at least 20 years!

This delightful wine has a round, silky texture on the palate with notes of apples and melon framed by a bracing mineral back bone. The finish is fresh with bright notes of citrus and a hint of honey. A delightful wine!

crushed wild strawberries and floral notes.

Flavors of raspberries, strawberries are layered

The 2022 Verdad Albarino, Edna Valley,  has gorgeous effusive aromas of white flowers, peaches and herbs. In the mouth the wine shows classic white peaches, apricots and lemon zest framed with a hints of ocean brine and a bright, lively finish.

This wine very much speaks of the warm 2022 vintage, with a little softer acidity than the 2021, and with a little more forward fruit.  It has classic Bien Nacido aromas of apples, tropical fruits and hints of citrus, all wrapped up with some creamy new oak aspects.
