The grapes were 40% whole cluster fermented and aged in one-third new, one-third one-year old, and one-third two-year old Francois Fréres barrels for 18 months. This Pinot is rich with tart cherry/berry aromas backed by savory flavors of tea, herbs & earthy spice. Complex, balanced, well stated.

This is a complex and special wine…taking advantage of the best characteristics of both varietals.  Earthy, dark berry fruit and tannin from the Tempranillo is complimented by the spicy, and juicy richness of the Syrah.  This wine is built to age well, but is totally enjoyable now.  If you do decide to put some in the cellar, we’d recommend a good 8-12 years to be at its best!

This Tempranillo has a silky texture with tart cherry aromas and flavors of cherries, plums and ripe raspberries berries layered with cocoa, mint and licorice. It has a long finish framed by spicy, toasty oak.

This wine is always the most elegant of our single vineyard Syrahs and is named after my mother Sonnie, who left this world in November 2022.  It is a bittersweet release due to her passing…and it’s the last Syrah that I made from this vineyard, as it was sold in January of 2021.

The aromas show black fruits such as berries and plums, with white pepper and coriander.  Coming from the warm 2020 vintage, this wine is drinking nicely already, but will benefit from 8-12 years of additional bottle age.

The 2020 Lindquist Family Marsanne is dry and fresh and went through complete malo for complexity and richness.

This is an elegant, cool climate expression of Mourvedre, with classic earthiness, spice and wild berry aromas.  It is a bold wine on the palette, with moderate tannins and refreshing acidity. 

This Tempranillo is an elegant expression of the grape with medium body, and a pretty purple color with touches of magenta. Aromas of sour cherries with brambly wood notes and layers of herbs and cedar overlayed with hints of baking spices come together on a long, complex finish.

This wine is classic cool climate Syrah from a cool vintage.  The aromas show hints of white pepper, dried raspberries and fresh herbs.  The flavors are full bodied, fruit forward with modest tannins.  The elegance and balance of this wine will support aging in the cellar for many years.

This is an elegant expression of Mourvèdre, but with the classic aromatics of herbs de Provence along with a meaty, gamey note.  The elegance of the 2021 vintage carries over into the flavors, with soft tannins and nice plummy fruit.

The wine has pretty, black cherry and rose petal aromas followed by flavors of tart cherry, plums, and cassis layered with chocolate and savory earthy notes.

It’s an exotic wine with aromas of brambles and ripe sour cherry fruit with lots of wild herbs, chocolate and deep cherry flavors with hints of chocolate and smoky notes.

This is a classic expression of cool climate Grenache, with red fruits and spices in the aromas and racy, fresh flavors.  The Syrah adds depth, and a nice hint of magenta to the color.  This was bottled without fining or filtration in February 2024.  I like to serve this wine with a slight chill at around 60°, especially in the Summer.- Bob Lindquist

This wine is a beautiful expression of the Grenache grape grown in cool climate, with aromas violets, wild cherries and spice.  The Syrah and Mourvèdre are the perfect supporting cast, giving the wine depth, a bit of tannin and earthiness.  It is a “drink me now” wine!

This is one of the more elegant versions of Bien Nacido Roussanne’s that I’ve made…it reminds me a lot of the 2007 wine, which at 17 years of age is still going strong!  Lovely aromas of honey, toasted almonds with hints of vanilla.  The flavors are fresh and crisp with a mouthwatering fruitiness.  Enjoy it over the next couple years, or better yet, put it away in the cellar for at least 10-15 years for maximum pleasure!

This is a deep, rich wine with balanced acidity and medium tannins.  The aromas show earthiness and red fruits from the Tempranillo, with spice and black fruits from the Syrah.

*92-93 Antonio Galloni VINOUS - "The 2023 Chardonnay from Bien Nacido Vineyard, is bright and nicely chiseled. Lemon peel, crushed rocks, sliate, mint and white pepper lend notable brilliance throughout. This nervy, saline Chardonnay has a lot to recommend it. I especially admire its energy."

This wine is all about the character of ultra ripe Viognier, which dominates the aromas of the wine with ripe peaches, honeysuckle and lychee nuts.  The Chardonnay plays a critical supporting role in the wine, giving it freshness, acidity and balancing the alcohol.  The aromas carry over into the flavors.

Aromas of exotic citrus and figs and are followed by lush fig and peach flavors with hints of mandarins and white flowers and a touch of bitter almonds. The texture is round and silky and pleasing on the palate.
